The Coolest People I've Ever Met And Pasta

Image
Hi everyone!! First of all thanks for reading my emails and second of all I'm so sorry for the crazy spelling and grammar. P Days are jam packed here and I have a lot I want to write so I end up trying to pump out an email in 45ish minutes and I run out of time to proof read and stuff. So thanks for bearing with me. Also I could barely speak english before I started learning Hiligaynon and now that there's two languages in my brain I can't speak either of them.  Once again this email will be in sections so just read the ones you want! THE COOLEST PEOPLE I'VE EVER MET - Ok so. Ive mentioned the Vietnamese sisters from Isaiah district before but they are genuinely the coolest and most faithful people I've ever met. Each of them has the most amazing story and they are all the only members in their families. - Sister Trán: Sister Trán is 25 years old and has been a member of the church for 4 years. She has amazing style and loves to laugh. On Tuesday she asked out distr...

Hey everone!! I made it to week 2 baby. It's been a good week as some of the initial nerves are wearing off but that also means the novelty is wearing off and the classes are feeling real long. This email will be in sections again so buckle up, hunker down and only read what you want. LOL P DAY ACTIVITIES - P days are my saving grace. They could not come faster. Each p-day we go to the Manila Temple and it is literally gorgeous. Lots of missionaries here (including our new room mates), go through the temple for the first time in the MTC. They were asking me which temple I had been to and I felt like such a pampered brat when I listed of like 5 different temples. It just made me realize how much I take it for granted.  On p days we also get to go to "the market". They straight up let us walk out of the MTC and go to this super cute grocery store. It reminds me of a Harmons. Last week I finally got a Mountain Dew and it was warm but I still had a spiritual experience. Also ...

Lizards, Airplanes, Rice And Typhoons

Hey Guys! Thanks for wanting to recieve my emails LOL. Please excuse my title. I'm explain in a minute. Life is WILD here and I'm not even in the field yet. This email will be in a few cute little sections so please feel free to read the ones that are interesting to you. (the real ones will read the whole thing fr fr). AIRPLANES - The flight to get here was the actual worst experience. I woke up on Monday the 6th (woke up is a strong word because I never actully slept) at 4:00. I said goodbye to my family in the SLC airport at like 5 in the morning, so while it was really hard, I was too tired to really cry or be upset. Starting in SLC I was traveling with at least 20 other missionaries and one other sister. We flew SLC to Seattle (where we picked up my now companion Sister Bentley), Seattle to Souel and then Souel to Manilla. The flight to Souel just about did me in. By the time we made it to Manila we had been traveling for about 26 hours and I probably got 2-3 hours of sleep...
