Last Week Of MTC
Hey everyone!
This is going to be a much shorter email than normal. Today has been chaotic and its been a chaotic and challenging week. The reality of the field really hit the past few days and it hasn't been easy to manage. Although it has been tough I thought I would still try and share a few lighter things and a few short things that helped me. Also even through the tough moments there has still been good.
FUNNY THINGS
- We did finger printing this past Thursday so none of us get kicked out of the country. It took ages. We met some sister from the US who have been in the field for a transfer and it was fun to talk to them! We also played would you rather and one Elder in our district has a morbid fear of having a colostomy bag so every would you rather was like. " Be missing both your legs? Or have a colostomy bag?". I'm definently going to miss my district and my amazing kaupod Sister Bentley.
REAL STUFF
- This week I've definently learned alot about how my mind and body reacts to stress. I've also learned the importance of keeping up daily spiritual habits. Even when its hard to. Especially when it's hard to.
- Some verses that have really helped me: John 14:26-27 And Mosiah 24:14-15. Shout out to Sister Anderson in Portugal for sharing the second one in her email! We also have a devotional from Elder Bangeter (area president) and he talked about not letting Satan use your mind as a playground. He also talked about how a testimony is being honest about when we have felt the spirit. He also shared John 14:26-27 which was a nice little wave from God.
- The temple. We got to do baptisms for the dead and it was the last time I will be in a temple for the next 15ish months. I have truely grown to love the temple and the peace I feel there. If you have access and are able to, attend the temple as much as you can!
FINAL COUNTDOWN
- As I mentioned this is my last week in the MTC. I leave in 2 days for Iloilo. My p days will be on Monday there so don't be alarmed if my next email come sooner than expected. Also I could definently use your prayers!
- I've felt your prayers this past week and I can't thank you enough for the emails and all the support.
- I love you and I love Jesus.
