You Say Goodbye And I Say Hello

Hello and welcome to another email with Sister Larson. This one will be a bit shorter than normal! There are three of us now on one phone so we get to split the time 3 ways. #livelaughlove. I'm still doing good here and I'm still in Oton. My new companions are Sister Sulapas and Sister Sadueste and they are great! We speak almost exclusively Hilligaynon now and that's been exciting. Do I know what's going on all the time- no. But it's been an adventure learning how to lead our area and for now leading all the lessons too! Also Merry Christmas! We have some christmas celebrations this week but as of now it's still hot and we still work everyday so my body still thinks it's august.

Here are some sections for you.

YOU SAY GOODBYE AND I SAY HELLO

-This week was lots of saying goodbye and meeting new people. I said goodbye to my trainer, Sister Francisquete. I was sad but she was so pumped for a new area that it was hard to be sad while she was so happy. She literally taught me so much and it feels like she's my big sister/mom so it was tough to say goodbye and it's a little weird to still be in the same area without her.

- final moments together *we tried unli wings but we couldn't eat them all so we snuck out the leftovers in plastic gloves*.

-We traveled to the bus terminal on Friday morning where we met up with tons of missionaries to exchanges companions. I got to see Sister Bentley, my fabulous mtc comp again! She's still killing it over there in Pavia

And I got to see some of my other batch mates too! It was fun to see lots of missionaries and I got to meet some of Sister Francisquete's other trainees!

THERES THREE OF US NOW

That's right we're a trio now. It's me, Sister Sadueste and Sister Sulapas. They are both the kindest human being and are being so patient with me as I try to speak the language and lead the area!

Sister Sadueste made spaghetti and it was Delicious. I gobbled it right up.

THE OTHER WOMAN

This week we visited and older couple in the ward and their grandson, Ken, who speak mostly English gave us some chocolate. He's like 5 years old and when he gave it to us he said "this is for the white woman". And then he came back later with more and said "this is for the other woman". Upon Inquiry about who is the other woman we found out that I am in fact both the white woman and the other woman. I'm a woman known by many names.

ONWARD EVER ONWARD

I don't have anything super deep for you this week. I just keep going. It's been a challenging week and I know there are more to come but I know that with time and faith our challenges only make us stronger. We just need to keep going onward and forward constantly glorying and rejoicing in Christ.

Merry Christmas and I invite all of you to find a way to serve someone this Christmas Season.

I love this gospel and I love my family.

Sister Larson
