CHARIOTS OF FIRE
Another week has gone by and this one was so fast. It was mega fun. I'm getting a ton better at just talking to everyone. It was something I used to get super anxious about- like you want me to just walk up to them and tell them about the gospel?- but my companions have helped me a ton to just kinda go for it. We had zone conference this week and it was kinda boring and the benches in the chapel are so hard - I'm actually sore from sitting there for so long #alongdaysnight. But as always, it's still fun to see lots of other missionaries. We also just met lots of cool people this week and one of our interested people, Jhea, accepted a baptism date!
as per ushe here are some sections
ANTIQUE SISTERS
Ok so there are 4 totals sisters in Antique zone and we all live in one house. Its a party to see each other all the time. I'm learning a ton from each of them. Also they're all good at cooking and we ate an entire like 8x8 tray of eggs this week. So when we go grocery shopping and the people are like “how many eggs do you want?” We're like “how much for all of them?”.
Anyway here is a photo of us taring it up at a surplus store last p day.

JHEA
This week was my first time being the one to say “will you get baptized”. In the same day I had one person say no and then later one person (Jhea) said yes! Her baptism will hopefully be on the 3rd- if she comes to church. She was originally taught in like 2019 and several of her siblings were baptized then. And then this past week she reached out to the missionaries and said she was ready!

A GRANDSON
So this week we were visiting a member who is super old so she hasn't been able to come to church in a long time. She couldn't really hear and she speaks legit only karay-ah so she wasn't super understanding my mixed language. So yah the lesson was going super well. She is just a tiny tiny little lady on a tiny little stool. So we're teaching her and then this kid walks out from another room and this dude is huge. So we have this photo with a tiny little lola and this huge like 15 year old kid. See below.

ASL
I’ve mentioned before but the branch here has lots of deaf members. So our first hour is in Karay-a and our second hour has an asl class that all the missionaries join. So now I'm learning ASL.

CHARIOTS OF FIRE
This week we got to go running on the beach and it was the actual best. I had to hold myself back from singing the Chariots of Fire theme song. I did in fact do the rocky thing at the end and all the fishermen were like what Is this crazy lady doing on my beach. But it was fab.

BLESSED AND HAPPY STATE
Mosiah 2:41.
41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
As missionaries we always promise blessings if our interested people follow through on the invitations we give them. This week I've been seeing these blessings in my own life. Doing my best to really keep all of God's commandments truly makes you happy. Being a missionary makes me happy. Focusing on other people makes me happy. Reading the scriptures every day makes me happy. And keeping the commandments will do the same for you. For the Lord God hath spoken it.
I love my Savior and I love being a missionary.
