It's For The Betterment Of Society
Number of Army Biscuits consumed this week: 4-6
It's been that kind of a week.
With that in mind here are some pictures.
DISTRICT THINGS
(see pictures)
This is the sisters from Sibalom district and half of the Powells! Elder and Sister Powell are the newest Senior couple here! They are from Utah and they are like my cute grandparents who live next door and need help with technology sometimes. Love them.

This part of our area is Madrunca BayBay. Very neat.
BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
You know the song by Ed Sheeran and Khalid I think? That song has been in my head all week but it's because Ed Sheeran is always on my mind. JOKE LANG it's because I keep thinking about how beautiful the faith of the people here is.

ABUZAR AND JOVIE
Abu and jovie are two kids we've been teaching for a while and they will be baptized in April! Abu's family are members but Jovie is the pioneer in his family. We are teaching his father as well but so far Jovie is the one who really gets it. They are only 10 and 12 but they still make sure they come to church. Everytime we pray with them they thank God for the opportunity to be baptized! They are a good example to me of “the faith of a child”.

JHEA
Jhea is probably a familiar face to most people on my list. She was baptized a little over a month ago and she's going strong. She is teaching Young Women's this Sunday and she's so excited! This week I lost they key to the chapel (I can say that because I ended up finding it- which is a whole nother story) but that meant we had no where to have her lessons so we ended up discussing the Book of Mormon over a bucket of fries #potatocorner.

PEARL
Everyone say yay because Pearl is all set to be baptized this Saturday! We talked to her mom and she's good to go! Once she got permission we asked her how she felt and she said it was “a dream come true”. Everyone pray that nothing goes wrong between now and Saturday! Far too often people who are ready like Pearl face extreme obstacles right before they are baptized

JULIE
I look like a victorian child with tuberculosis in this picture but I included because JULIE IS BACK! We are working on helping her be baptized as soon as possible! Everybody pray for her too! There's a chance she'll be featured in the next email.
A GREAT WORK
(see pictures)
This is Sheila! She is a new member in San Jose and is like 90% blind. She sometimes can't come to church because her husband doesn't want to go. Stinker. Anyway we visited her and afterwards she asked if she could work with us. I was like uhhhhhh sure. Of course I was a bit worried but it was actually insane. She literally can't see these people and she was finding us new people to teach while we were walking. She bore testimony at every chance that this church is true. It made me think. We really have no excuse. There is no excuse not to participate in helping people come unto Christ.
SISTER LARGO
(see pictures)
I had exchanges this week with our beloved Sister Training Leader Sister Largo. So of course all of our appointments fell through. But I legit learned how to talk to every human who has a pulse. It's also chill because we're roommates and sometimes we sing Celine Dion together.
Now for some Sister Largo quotes
“When I was…. A young warthog”
“Rawr”
“I'm an intrusive speaker”
“I am a dictator- It's for the betterment of society”
TRAINER AND TRAINEE
(see pictures)
We had a meeting this week for trainees and trainers and I got to see Sister Francisquete and Sister Pecundo. It was over zoom but still. I like seeing their cute faces.
PINNIKA-MAHAL
This means “most expensive” in Karay-a. Something we've been with lots of members this week is that the best things in life are “expensive” or require sacrifice. We always use letchon as example. Letchon is like a whole roasted pig and people always buy them for big celebrations and they are pricy. BUT its the most delicious. Things of high value are high sacrifice. As missionaries we teach that eternal life with our families is the highest value but of course it requires high sacrifice. We sacrifice our time efforts and wordly wants and needs and it return we receive the pinnika-mahal reward. Living with our families forver.
I love this gospel and I love my family
