Greased Lighting

Hey besties it's been another week which is all too believable. The heat alone has made each day feel like an eternity. It's literally so hot they have canceled school. When people see us walking around they always tell us to be careful and look at us the way I would look at John Travolta if I ever saw him. Maybe one day…. Even though it's been long and hot it's also been a really good week. We didn't take a ton of pictures but here we go. *john travolta will no longer be mentioned in this piece of writ*

JOVIE AND ABU

The highlight of this week was definitely the baptism of Jovie and Abu! It was on Saturday and not hardly any members came but the spirit was strong and they were so excited. They were confirmed the next day at church! Jovie came by himself so he could be ontime and he wore a button up for the first time! Abu was late and came in like greased lighting during Jovie's confirmation. But they were so excited. And Jovie will receive  the priesthood next week and he is pumped to pass the sacrament!

It was hotter than the surface of the sun when we took these pictures.

RACING

Sister Pernitez visited our Relief Society President last night to try and help with ministering but her house is super far away. She was our last appointment so when we left we only had like 15 minutes to get home. So we decided to race but running was not allowed. So we power walked like the snickers guy and made it home in time.

“PUNTED”

So punted is what we call it when none of our appointments are available and then we can't find anyone to talk to. This is what punted looks in in 40° C.

See linked pictures. Mangin bobo yung cell phone namon.

CHILDREN OF GOD

In our branch here in San Jose we have a super high number of members who do not come to church. We have been pushing to increase our efforts for ministering in our branch. It has made me realize more and more how important it is to focus our church services on love. For eachother and for God.

In Elder Stevenson's recent general conference talk he said “Love of the Lord is not complete if we neglect our neighbors. This outward love includes all of God’s children without regard to gender, social class, race, sexuality, income, age, or ethnicity.” This outward love includes all of God’s children without regard to gender, social class, race, sexuality, income, age, or ethnicity.” We, especially at church, should reach out with love. Regardless of any outward identification our main identity is as children of God.

God loves you lots.

Lets try and do the same

Because the word keeps spinning round and round.

Sorry for the John Travolta jokes.
