Come, Feel, See

Helluer everyone and welcome to another episode of Sister Larson in Antique and guess what this will be the last.  Wait lang wait lang I'll tell you later sa diin… But first buckle up because I wrote this email in sections according to my will and pleasure with no distinguishable order.

I've been in San Jose for about 6 months and it's really started to feel like home. Of course it's not been easy and sometimes I could really feel all 6 of those months. Sometimes I was like “de heck man I'm still here?”. But I love San Jose. My companions, my fellow missionaries, the members, the language and even the boiled rats will always have a special place in my heart (and in rat purgatory.)
Well I'll probably cry on the bus on the way to Numancia. It will be good and probably help people be interested in our message.

ZONE CON

We had our Antique and Iloilo zone conference this week, which for us meant lots of time sitting in a van. But I learned a ton and I got to see two of my past companions, Sister Sadueste and Sister Pecundo!

TRANSFERS

Ok so here are some hints about my transfer news.

Different language

My companion is my half sister

I couldn't think of a third hint

You guessed it I'm going to Numancia in Kalibo zone! I will be speaking a language I haven't learned yet which is fun. But my companion will be Sister Castañaga which I'm so excited about! She was also trained by Sister Francisquete. I will also be taking Sister Francisquete's place in Numancia. #Francisfamily. I will also be an STL which I have no idea how to do so that should be exciting as well. Overall I think this next cycle is gonna be a little bit stretching.

SIS PERNITEZ

To my dear almost-not-trainee… You got this Sister Pernitskinny. I'm so excited to watch you continue to grow. Thank you for everything you taught me and for being eternally patient with me. Thanks for all the laughter and tears #livelaughlove. Love you lots. I'll see you at your wedding.

COME, FEEL, SEE

3 Nephi 18: 25 

-”And ye see that I have commanded that none of you should go away, but rather have commanded that ye should come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall ye do unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandment suffereth himself to be led into temptation.”

- Christ is constantly inviting us to come unto him. To see the prints in his palms. To feel the love he has for us. I testify His love is eternal. No matter what has happened to you or you have done His love is always available. So come. His arms are reaching out and He is waiting for you.

I love this work. I love my family. I love my Savior

Hey guys, you are reading my first ever email from Numancia. This past week was lots of goodbyes, bus rides and me not understanding what people are saying. Double thumbs up. My new area so far is super different from my last area in San Jose but I love it here. My new comp is Sister Castañaga and she is the nicest person I have ever met. Anyway, here's the rundown.  LAST MOMENTS IN ANTIQUE My week from Sunday to Thursday was still about normal work wise with some added packing and goodbyes. It was so hard saying goodbye to some of our new converts and so yah I maybe cried a little. My very last day of work in San Jose almost none of our appointments went through and was feeling a little bit the worst. Well, I Made Some Rocks

Hellooooooo it's Sister Larson again. Surprise. It's been a solid week. I had a cold which shouldn't have been that much of a big deal but it had me feeling like one of those frogs that came out in the rain but then got hit by a motorcycle and then dried up in the sun. You know that feeling?  I made a collage to better illustrate. But just like these dead frogs still made this beautiful collage my week was still beautiful and full of miracles. (Picture 1) EXCHANGES A highlight of this week was our exchanges with the Kalibo 2nd sisters! I got to work with Sister Camain who is a girlboss. We met lots of cool people and got some new mosquito bites. (Pictures 2-3) NUMANCIA PEOPLE AND PLACES Numancia never ceases to amaze me. One moment it's dusty beer bottles and factories and the next it's the most stunning sunset over a flooded rice field. But more than the scenery is the people. "Sa Taas"

This week was lots of new and saying goodbye to old. I said goodbye to my companion Sister Castañaga. We were companions for so long so it was like saying goodbye to my best friend. But mostly I'm excited for her and the next few chapters of her life. Palangga ta ka ate Eddielyn. Kitaay sa pagkasal mo. Osoyan mo ro gwapo. I also met my new companion Sister Panuelos and she is sooooo baskog. She is small but fierce. She's straight up with our IPs and members and also literally hilarious. We're still getting to know eachother but she like One Direction so we should be good.  ANYWAY. here's the rundown BYE BYE SISTER CASTAÑAGA  Early Wednesday morning I said goodbye to Sister Castañaga and sent her on the bus to Iloilo.
