2 Baptisms And A Zone Con
Sheeeeesh what a week. I can't believe how fast time is going. I've almost finished a whole cycle now here in Numancia. I swear I left Antique last week. Time has been so fast because we have been crazy busy so here's the rundown.
Also “How old are ya? I'm twenty! Ah!”
yep I turned twenty this week but most people still guess I'm about 30 years old. Rock on.
This emails gonna be mostly a lot of pictures but here we go

BAPTISMS
Baptism ni ate Kaye! She was so excited to follow in her older sister's footsteps and share her testimony of this true church!
Baptism ni Brother Philip! Brother Philip has come a long way to be ready for him baptism. He quit drinking coffee to be ready to make his promise with God. And even though when we got to the church there were exactly zero baptisimal jumpsuits, we made it happen and he was able to be baptized. (Sister Castañaga and I had to pay a little visit to the neighboring branch).

REAL ESTATE ANGETS
So this week Sister Castañaga and I spent a day exploring the literal outerbrim of our area in an effort to find a meeting house for a proposed group in the area (a group is even smaller than a branch). While we were out there we saw the eiffel tower, a hello kitty theme park and a village of people who make pottery.
This is Sister Eva. She and one of her neighbors showed us how to do some cool pottery stuff and in exchange we taught them about the book of mormon. Classic.

ZONE CONFERENCE
We had a combined Kalino ag Pandan zone conference this week and we got to meet out new mission President, President and Sister Pearson from Holladay Utah. Lets go. I told some of the missionaries they were my grandparents. But they are actually the cutest people I have ever met and they are still just discovering the Philippines and the culture here and its so cute to ser them get all excited about seeing lizards in church.
It was also my first time as an STL at Zone Conference so I was a little nervous but I whipped out my powerpoint skills and I think it all went well.
Zone con also went a sleepover with the Boracay sister and only my very bestest friends Sister Bentley and Sister Nang. #islandgurlies
I look kinda crazy in this pic but behold, the mosted goated zone, KALIBO ZOOOOONE.
The most Makato district. RIP Elder Supetran.

Ticketmaster did my dirty but at least I got to experience Peacetea (Taylor's Version).
My fam sent me a package in May and I got it exactly the day before my brithday. I have been absolutly muchin on those welches fruit snack.

Also just a thank you for the birthday greetings, the ones over email and in the missio gc. Even the slightly questionable photos still made my 20 year old heart happy. #ratboiler

WORK WORK WORK
Work work work work. We have been finding some cool people this week and visiting our recent converts in our area. Also we had some really solid workers this sundayyyyy. Yayayaya.
One miracle I wanted to share is yesterday at stake conference a member from Kalibo introduced us to his friend who has come to church 2 times now and wants to be baptized. We were like hello bestie, we have a book for you. His name is brother Reymond and he lives in like the very furthest part of our area that is literally jungle and we don't know how to get there. But we will be teaching him at the chaple each sunday and we are super excited to watch him learn the sweetness of the gospel!

SPIRITUAL GLASSES
Sister Castañaga and I watched the new inspirational message on Gospel Library app by Sister Tracy Y. Browning called “Seeing More of Jesus Christ”. It is based on the talk she gave last October 2022 by the same name. She said “The Savior invites us to see our lives through Him in order to see more of Him in our lives.” In her video she talks about how when her eyesight first started deteriorating as a young girl she just pretended it was normal that she couldn't see well- that the distortion and blurriness was normal. It wasn't until she finally got glasses that she realized how much better her experience in life could be when she could see clearly. She invites us to see out lives more clearly and better our experiences by seeing our lives through the lenses of Christ's love. She says the gospel is a gospel of “try it out”. Try praying and see how you feel. Serve someone and see how you feel. “You have to try it out”. If we try to see our lives through Christ we will see more of him in our lives. Our experience will be better. We will see more clearly the love Christ has for us and we will be better able to see other people as God sees them. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
