Proselyting Bags

This week has been supes chill. I did look like a tim burton character (the guy who made Nightmare Before Christmas and Wednesday and stuff). Even my eyes have proselyting bags. But legit this cycle presented a challenge but it has also been filled with so many miracles and it's only week two. Please enjoy this multimedia presentation


NANAY LILIA

Yesterday was the baptism of Nanay Lilia! She was already prepared and ready to go when I got here but she has quickly become one of my favorites. She is 70+ years old, speaks deep Aklanon and is super sassy. The Sunday of her baptism she and her family all wore white at church. Her son is also on date to be baptized and we are super excited to watch them continue on the covenant path!

COOKERIST

this week I made pansit which is notable because normally when its my turn to cook I just crack open a can of century tuna and heat it up if I'm feeling fancy. 

We also tried Balut this week and it was my first time. It's a like half grown baby duck egg that's been cooked. And let me tell ya. When you open it you can tell that it was almost a duck. But it just tastes like egg.

BABY'S FIRST MLC

Sheeesh so on Wednesday Sister Castañaga and I and the ZL'S took the fabulous 5 hour bus ride back to Iloilo for MLC. The office surprised us and we went bowling as an MLC. I didn't hit most of the pins but its the effort that counts. I also got to see Sister Bentley and Sister Pecundo only the loves of my life and my past companions!!! Lub lub lub

MLC itself was chill. I'm definitely still learning the ropes but I took a lot of notes. #ApLit

WORK WORK WORK

We have some really amazing youth in our ward who 100% know the area and even our IPs better than we do. We are still learning parts of our area and it feels like everyday we find someone taught by the past Elders or Sisters that is just so solid. Just another testament to me that this is God's work and we are just instruments.

THE MASTER CREATOR

Something I have just been thinking about this week is how amazing it is that the same God who made the world is the same God who made us. He took the time to paint the clouds, mountains and streams and then intricately carved each detail of our identity and being. When we see the world God created we know that there must be divinity. When we know that God is our father we know that we must be divine. We are divine and we were made for a purpose.

Kasayad ko na tuod gid ro simbahan ni Jesucristo ag ro Aklat ni Mormon. Kasayad man ako na matuod man ro Aklat ni Mormon. Palangga gid kita it Diyos. May una gid kita divine potential. Padayon gid na mapalapit kay Cristo. Sa ngalan ni Jesucristo amen.

Hey guys, you are reading my first ever email from Numancia. This past week was lots of goodbyes, bus rides and me not understanding what people are saying. Double thumbs up. My new area so far is super different from my last area in San Jose but I love it here. My new comp is Sister Castañaga and she is the nicest person I have ever met. Anyway, here's the rundown.  LAST MOMENTS IN ANTIQUE My week from Sunday to Thursday was still about normal work wise with some added packing and goodbyes. It was so hard saying goodbye to some of our new converts and so yah I maybe cried a little. My very last day of work in San Jose almost none of our appointments went through and was feeling a little bit the worst. Well, I Made Some Rocks

Hellooooooo it's Sister Larson again. Surprise. It's been a solid week. I had a cold which shouldn't have been that much of a big deal but it had me feeling like one of those frogs that came out in the rain but then got hit by a motorcycle and then dried up in the sun. You know that feeling?  I made a collage to better illustrate. But just like these dead frogs still made this beautiful collage my week was still beautiful and full of miracles. (Picture 1) EXCHANGES A highlight of this week was our exchanges with the Kalibo 2nd sisters! I got to work with Sister Camain who is a girlboss. We met lots of cool people and got some new mosquito bites. (Pictures 2-3) NUMANCIA PEOPLE AND PLACES Numancia never ceases to amaze me. "Sa Taas"

This week was lots of new and saying goodbye to old. I said goodbye to my companion Sister Castañaga. We were companions for so long so it was like saying goodbye to my best friend. But mostly I'm excited for her and the next few chapters of her life. Palangga ta ka ate Eddielyn. Kitaay sa pagkasal mo. Osoyan mo ro gwapo. I also met my new companion Sister Panuelos and she is sooooo baskog. She is small but fierce. She's straight up with our IPs and members and also literally hilarious. We're still getting to know eachother but she like One Direction so we should be good.  ANYWAY. here's the rundown BYE BYE SISTER CASTAÑAGA  Early Wednesday morning I said goodbye to Sister Castañaga and sent her on the bus to Iloilo.
