Bicycles And Baptism

I shall now illustrate my week through a series of quotations and pictures. Please enjoy this multi- media presentation.

“I Want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike.”

Yep, it finally happened. We got our bikessss. It is only the hope and dream of my heart. But its been kinda bagio- ing here so our first few days of bike riding have been through flood water and sheets of rain.

All of the trike drivers who used to take us everywhere make little comments everytime they see us biking. They're like “Wow you have bikes.” And we're like “thank you manong that's true.”

The water on the camera is for aesthetics and realism.

But for real, since we got our bikes we have seen some many miracles. We can simply get to more people faster. But more on that later.

“And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!”

-Doctrine and Covenants 18:15

☆THE BAPTISM OF RYKIE, NICOLE AG ANGEL☆

Yesterday these three cutie patooties made their first promise with God!

You may notice we are at the ocean. Only the wish and hope of my heart. The water at the church was brown and had worms swimming in it so we were like “ocean?”.

EXCHANGES WITH SISTER FIFITA
(see pictures)

Sister Fifita and I worked togethed a TON as trainees so, almost a year later, it was so cool to work together again and really reflect on how much we have grown. And of course we visited the 711. For old times sake.

Pamahaw- Joke lang we literally just bought cans of tuna and corned beef. #gainz

On Friday Sister Fifita ans I tried out the bikes and took a nice 30 minutes bikes ride in the rain to an area called Navitas. We weren't super sure how to find people while riding a bike so at first it was kinda awkward but we figured it out. We saw a mom and he daughter by this lake and at first we rode past them because we couldn't figure out how to get to them lol. Then I felt like we should go back. So we turned out bikes around and found this sketchy bridge. While we were figuring out if we should cross our not the family notjced us and they came over to talk to us. We ended up finding out the father is actually a member from Roxas but has never come to church in Numancia. We shared about the Book of Mormon and asked if we could come back. Turns out the rest of his family hasn't been baptized but they are willing to be taught! As we rode away we saw brother explaining the Book of Mormon to his kids and wife. Faith, bikes and looking confused at bridges brings miracles.

“4 Do not run faster or labor more than you have strength and means provided to enable you to translate; but be diligent unto the end.”

Doctrine and Covenants 10:4

As I have spent more and more time here on my mission I have realized that our covenant relationship with God is in fact two way. I know we always hear that but its true. I have really seen that as we do our part, strive diligently to labor until the end, “God will magnify [our efforts] and work miracles with what [we] have to offer” (PMG 2.0 pg. 13).

If we do our part God will do the rest. But it starts with us gid. We have to first choose to act. Choosr to follow his commandments. Choose Him. And just wait and see how glorious our lives can become.

I love this work. I know my Savior lives. The Book of Mormon in true.
