I Know In Whom I Have Trusted

HELLO EVERYONE.

Happy “Ber” months! That means Christmas has offically started here. Decorations are going up, Mariah Carey is playing. Its getting real. Last time this year I was in the MTC and there was a Christmas tree and I was like huuuuuh??

Anyway not a ton to report this week. The work is still going. Even if its going a little bit slow. Time is fast. The progress is slow.

DURIAN

Durian is a spiky stinky fruit from Mindanao. Its stinkyness is infamous. Anyway, I tried it on Monday and I found it to be quite sarap. I liked it so much they gave me my own to take home with me. This is me going through the stages of grief deciding if I like it or not.

TANGALAN X MAKATO DISTIRCT

We all tried Durian and then I snuck the tupperware into one of the Elders bags but I felt bad about it later and had to take it back later because that stuff is STANKY.

I KNOW IN WHOM I HAVE TRUSTED

So I just started a new copy of the Book of Mormon because my last one was falling apart a little bit and had a slight stench. So I got to reread 2 Nephi and I wanted to share some verses that really stuck out to me in chapter 4.

19 And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.

20 My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.

21 He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh.

I can say my mission has been full of so many highs and lows but I know in whom I have trusted. I'm so grateful I get to serve and the more I am refined and tried the more I understand Christ’s love for me.

I love this work. I know Christ lives and I know The Book of Mormon is true.
