Cristine went crazy this week. That's the name of the bagyo in the Philippines rn and it actually hasn't been too bad in our area but it has led to me falling into mud and flood water a few times. Still working on that bike- person coordination. But a lot happened this week so we're going day by day MONDAY Ok so like nothing happened on Monday but I did conquer my fear of singing in front of people. #thatonesforyouliam. TUESDAY The highlight of Tuesday was meeting the Nemis family. We had met the Mother once before and on Tuesday we were able to find their house. We met the father and one of their sons in law as well. Their son in law, brother Jim, told us he has 3 siblings who served missions. HUHHH???? Yah. He was laughing and saying “hahaha I'm the only one who's not a member in my family”. Then he was like “they all went to Cebu (the temple)”. And we were like. “Ummmm can we come back here next week? And do you want to be baptized?”. JOKE LANG we didn't say ...

Who was going to tell me Liam Payne died.  We biked past a group of burly construction workers listening to Hide Away by Daya.  So basically here's the chica. I have never worked so hard in my life and seen so little results. Anytime one of our friends starts to progress, they last like 2 weeks and I get my hopes up a little bit and then they suddenly lose all their positive momentum. So yeah basically we took like 3 pictures this week. The work is still going but it's getting a little hit harder to be hopeful about my area.  I've almost been here long enough to qualify for an Akeanon ID. Boom discount in Boracay. COFFEE??? So by now I've written about the Bautisita family/ Tatay Benji many times now. We taught them word of wisdom this week and they told us they drink coffee. But then they were like “homemade coffee”. So we said huhhhh? And nanay told us she makes it with burt corn, dried ginger and the inside of a tree of mangustine fruits. We said 1. Thats not coffee....

This week was lots of new and saying goodbye to old. I said goodbye to my companion Sister Castañaga. We were companions for so long so it was like saying goodbye to my best friend. But mostly I'm excited for her and the next few chapters of her life. Palangga ta ka ate Eddielyn. Kitaay sa pagkasal mo. Osoyan mo ro gwapo. I also met my new companion Sister Panuelos and she is sooooo baskog. She is small but fierce. She's straight up with our IPs and members and also literally hilarious. We're still getting to know eachother but she like One Direction so we should be good.  ANYWAY. here's the rundown BYE BYE SISTER CASTAÑAGA  Early Wednesday morning I said goodbye to Sister Castañaga and sent her on the bus to Iloilo. RIP. Saying goodbyes. Also my fit is wack because I didn't do my laundry last week. Please forgive. LAST DCM. we didn't really get any good pics. Last picture together RIP. Enjoy your life without me Sister. Eat some real Ilocano food and hug your m...

I would like to start off this email with a few miracles from this week. I was super tired and rode my bike off the side of the road and then immediately crashed. But guess what. I didn't even rip my new Uniqlo pants.  All my hair that fell out in Antique is growing back and when I get sweaty I suddenly have bangs again.  Ok this one is real- I got to see Ronica again! She was my first baptism in the field but more on that later. NUMANCIA We had transfer calls this week and I'm finally getting transferred!!! I've been in Numancia for forever so…… wait….. wait…. IT'S ANOTHER PRANK. I'm not getting transferred. Uswag Numancia. But Sister Castañaga is going home on Wednesday and I'm going to not be ok. We've been companions for almost 5 months now (longer than any relationship I've ever been in). JOKE LANG. But for real there will be tears. I'll tell you who my new companion is next week because I'm trying to be mysterious. But yep I'll be here ...
