Malipayon Nga Paskwa

Image
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas or in Hiligaynon- Malipayon nga Paskwa!! This week was a long one. Goos but long. We went to SM (the mall) on Monday, had our Christmas Conference on Tuesday, called in sick on Wednesday and then worked the rest of the week. Oton is still the same baby. My new companions are both the sweetest and its been fun to actually start to get to know each other this week!  Christmas here is a big deal but as missionaries it's pretty much just another day of work. So while I miss home it still pretty much seems like a normal week and its so hot my body still thinks its August. #ChristmasinJuly.  Now I have prepared some sections for you.  SISTER SULAPAS AND SISTER SADUESTE My companions are what we call totes adorbs and baskog guid (super strong). We all have different native languages so our common language is Hiligaynon now. This is super perfect because I actually am still not that fab at Hiligaynon. But I've loved learning from them so far. Si...

You Say Goodbye And I Say Hello

Hello and welcome to another email with Sister Larson. This one will be a bit shorter than normal! There are three of us now on one phone so we get to split the time 3 ways. #livelaughlove. I'm still doing good here and I'm still in Oton. My new companions are Sister Sulapas and Sister Sadueste and they are great! We speak almost exclusively Hilligaynon now and that's been exciting. Do I know what's going on all the time- no. But it's been an adventure learning how to lead our area and for now leading all the lessons too! Also Merry Christmas! We have some christmas celebrations this week but as of now it's still hot and we still work everyday so my body still thinks it's august. Here are some sections for you. YOU SAY GOODBYE AND I SAY HELLO -This week was lots of saying goodbye and meeting new people. I said goodbye to my trainer, Sister Francisquete. I was sad but she was so pumped for a new area that it was hard to be sad while she was so happy. She lite...

Can Ye Feel So Now?

Hello everyone! This week was a week of firsts for me. I had a two day exchanges with Sister Rascano again so I spent a good hunk of time with her, traveling and in Tigbauan. No complaints here though (Tigbauan is swag). We had our second counselor in the bishopric and his family, including a baby and a toddler, work with us This week and wow it was effective. It's really exciting to see our leadership dive into missionary work. We also had transfer calls yesterday and we found out Sister Francisquete will be transferred to La Paz! RIP #citygirl. But that means I will have two new companions. Yep it's trio life for me next cycle. Sister Sadueste and Sister Sulapas will be joining me here in Oton! I've heard nothing but great things about both of them. Now for a run down of the week with some pictures. Duh. THIS IS WHERE THE SECTIONS START. EXCHANGES (see pictures) So with Sister Rascano we worked a day in Oton and a day in Tigbauan. I'm starting to get really good at pa...

This One Is About Music.

This week was solid. We had some solid lessons, some good finding and exchanges. Overall it was just a good week. We had exchanges with Tigbauan sisters so I worked with sister Cauilan for a day which is always fun and I learn so much. Mission life is still challenging and we still have lots of rejections but it's always rewarding and the days are really starting to blur. Anyway I'm still pluggin along over here. And transfers are coming up which means I'll no longer be a trainee and there is a chance I could go to a new area or get a new companion!! #prayforme #irl boom. sections. MUSIC Ok so music has been playing so many roles in my life lately.  First of all we have the music on the Sacred Music app that we can listen to anytime as missionaries. Its all like efy music which before my mission I would have hated and I still kinda do but let me tell you. I do be jammin ( as in jamming out). My man Nik Day down at temple square really put his heart and soul into those. But ...
