Nay, Busog Na Ako

Image
Hey besties, just a quick one this week kay gusto ko matulog and not a ton happened this week. Things are still about the same here in Numancia and Sister Castañaga and I are still going strong.  EXCHANGES We had exchanges again this week with the one and only KALIBO 2ND SISTERSSSSS. Lots of love (see pictures) I worked with Sister Oquindo in their area and sheeeesh baskog talagaaaa. Trainee pa lang pero ang baskog na man. I also got to practice my Tagalog a little bit. We met some mean people on the beach, ate some late night Frank's and of course played guitar way past our bedtime. You could say we're pretty rowdy. (see pictures) MAKATO DISTIRCT We had our district activity on the beach and we just went and looked at the water. Joke lang. We attempted volleyball, roasted some colorful marshmallows and learned that not all uno players are created equal.  Meet the fam feat. Elder Walker, Elder Bitner, Sister Licudine, Sister Ugalino, Sister Castañaga and of course I'm the o...

Answangs And Dange

Hey besties.  We didn't take a ton of pics this week but here we go. Sorry I put another random rice field but looooook its so greeeen. (see pictures) TATAY JAYME Tatay Jayme is one of our interested friends. His wife is a member but they lived apart for years now because brother was working abroad. He just recently had a stroke so he came home. When we first visited them I was frankly hesitant to teach Tatay. He was completely paralyzed on the left side of his body. I saw no way he could come to church. Luckily Sister Castañaga saw the potential and helped me remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. Over the weeks now as we have been visiting and teaching Tatay his physical healing has been closely correlated with his spiritual growth. And even though we are teaching him in Tagalog and Ilocano, he is slowly gaining an understanding of God's love for him. This past week we asked some of the brothers in outward to give tatay a priesthood blessing. At the time of...

The song Stayin Alive by the Beegees Has been stuck in my head, I think my whole mission. But specifically, “I'm a woman's man, to talk.” That one and “Beautiful People” by Ed Sheeran and Khalid. I don't even like that song. Anyway, there's a little glimpse into my mind. Also thanks mom and dad I think I've eaten 20/90 Welch's fruit snacks so far and I'm currently on bag 21. #fruitisourfirstingredient.  Anyway its been another week so hopefully you also have some Welch's you can eat while you read this. MLC We had our Mission Leadership Council this week and it was awesome. I got to see some of my past companions, district mates and of course the Pearson's who are quickly becoming my favorites and they are everything I aspire to be.  PREGAME  5 hour bus ride to Iloilo feeling good. Feat. sleepy Pandan zone  (see pictures) ILOILO MLC ASSEMBLE At MLC we talked all about moral agency. Doing what's right because we love the Lord. Because we want to. ...

2 Baptisms And A Zone Con

Sheeeeesh what a week. I can't believe how fast time is going. I've almost finished a whole cycle now here in Numancia. I swear I left Antique last week. Time has been so fast because we have been crazy busy so here's the rundown.  Also “How old are ya? I'm twenty! Ah!”  yep I turned twenty this week but most people still guess I'm about 30 years old. Rock on.  This emails gonna be mostly a lot of pictures but here we go (see pictures) BAPTISMS Baptism ni ate Kaye! She was so excited to follow in her older sister's footsteps and share her testimony of this true church!  Baptism ni Brother Philip! Brother Philip has come a long way to be ready for him baptism. He quit drinking coffee to be ready to make his promise with God. And even though when we got to the church there were exactly zero baptisimal jumpsuits, we made it happen and he was able to be baptized. (Sister Castañaga and I had to pay a little visit to the neighboring branch).  (see pictures) REAL ESTAT...
